Great solid web hosting provider, with fast connectivity and incredible uptime
I’ve been with Ausweb for a little while now for one of my websites, and have recently moved the rest of my websites over. I know use Ausweb for all of my online hosting & services.

I’ve been using Ausweb for a few years now and just recently upgraded to one of their VPS’s. I find their services to be very well priced and their support to be fast and helpful. The migration to my new VPS was a piece of cake.

I have been an AusWeb VPS customer for nearly 12 months and I couldn’t be happier with the speed and reliability of the service, and the support.
I run a medium sized business and time offline is most certainly measured in lost sales revenue. The AusWeb staff are always available with a quick response, and just a phonecall away. It’s nice to get a human on the other end of the line sometimes and they go above and beyond! Even when it’s well past their support obligations (ie. I’ve messed something up on my website), they’re quick with advice.
No hassle, no nonsense! Fast and reliable, much better than the majority of Australian web hosting providers and I have used my share. Highly recommended!
My experience with AUSWEB has been bad.
I would not recommend them to anyone. My clients have now changed providers and are much happier.
Unexplained outages have always been a risk with these guys and not ever been impressed by the support response times but stuck with it to save the hassel of moving BUT now no response at all and angry clients blaming me for these guys non-response means I am now actively looking to move the entire account (10+ websites) elsewhere.
If I could rate ZERO for support I would – I will be avoiding AUSWEB in future
Thanks for the quick chat on the phone Ben – However I can see that your particular server has had a 100% uptime as of late, which is far beyond any minimum requirements you would get with a 99.9 SLA.
As per our phone conversation I’m glad we could determine the difference between a firewall block because of a potential security breach and an ‘unexplained outage’.

I renewed with AusWeb (for 3 months) on 27th September, before I posted above.
Instead of apologising for the inconvenience caused or investigating the “unexplained outages” AusWeb called me to tell me I was wrong and went on to say that even if there had been outages that would be okay because there is no SLA. I explained that being “unexplained” is the problem – I understand that occassional outages with this low-end hosting is understandable. Your 100% uptime claim is just not my experience.
I am most concerned about the anonymous email I got from “AUSWEB Web Hosting Sales Inquiry” saying….
“It has come to our attention that you have posted a bad reqiew of us

…. Explain my action? – I actually had to read it twice. You have got to be kidding.
I have now abandoned my AusWeb hosting leaving 7 weeks fully paid and unused in favour of a small company with the right attitude called Avanti Hosting. If AusWeb knows how to do the right thing they’ll give the $100 (ex GST) in fees I’ve paid and not used to a charity. I suggest they give it to someone doing a “movember”

I have just upgraded my dedicated server with Ausweb after a period of 12 months.
They have been a very stable host, their setup time was fantastic and the migration was quick and smooth with zero downtime.

A lot of the reviews for AUSWEB look suspiciously similar with an onus on VPS services!
Very bad experience with their support crew. Lost me lots of money. Would definitely not recommend them. Also was annoyed with their lack of transparency on the phone and concerning issues which they had caused. Be warned !
Support ? Has their support gone offshore ? Ausweb lost me a lot of money. They started out OK but in the end they lost the plot. If youre serious about webhosting and you rely on it for an income (as I do) Forget these guys
That’s because Ausweb post under false accounts. They do it everywhere.
You can easily go for another hosting provider that’s Australian based, provides real 24/7 support without being rude and arrogant.
All you need to do is have a scroll through their website and you can see how professional they are with a spelling mistake in every paragraph. Whoever wrote all the content for the website either can’t speak english or is too lazy to proof read. A sign of true professionalism!

Ausweb are really bad. I have not had any good support from Ausweb and their web hosting support team.
Ausweb do not provide a friendly service and do not provide any refunds when they dont provide good services.

they always say no scripting and development support when their server does not work and problem is with their server! if my site get hack because of their insecure server, they say its my fault!

There is something really fishy going on with AUSWEB. If you are an old customer, then you are in the backwater. The prices are 3x what they should be and you have to go through the pain of transferring domains to the new system. There is nothing written about it and I had to ring support in business hours to work out why I no longer had an account.

Roger, there is nothing fishy going on with AUSWEB.
We informed ALL our old domain clients back in beginning 2009 by email who registered with our old Domain Registrar , that we are using a new and a better Domain Registrar with much better pricing and AU domains are now $49.50 and .com Domains are $19.50
Additionally , we do not feel the need of posting false post on this site and do feel that some of those negative posts have been specifically done by one disgruntled ex staff, who seem to feel the need to smear our reputation.
Either way, thanks for all the positive feed backs and I apologize to those few people who we could not meet their expectations.

I wish I had of read your reviews before we went with AusWeb.
What a nightmare – so much trouble and complete bullshit service.
Outages, outages, outages and rude support staff that try to blame customers for their own ineptness.
What’s worse is, as was said above, they don’ offer any refund or compensation even when it is completely their fault.
Be warned, while the platform is slick and the website even slicker the quality is sub-continental.
