While I can’t speak for others, I personally use Digital Pacific and have had no problems with their service.

In terms of SEO, Web development, Social Media Marketing etc you would be much better off talking to a company that has their sole focus on the area of expertise. I have my doubts about web hosting companies that offer a wide range of services outside of hosting websites.

Hi there,
Can anyone recommend a better web hosting company than Netregistry? We have been with them just under a year now and our pages are SO SLOW to load. We have also experienced the server being completely down during business hours intermittently. Recently I also tried to create some inbound links for SEO purposes, however the directories came back with an error message saying the server response time is too slow. This prompted a call to Netregistry, who advised I needed to speak with the SEO team however they were busy and would call me back. No call back received. Please can someone suggest some alternatives. The slow loading and site being down intermittently are losing us customers during business hours. Many thanks, Olivia

I would NEVER NEVER NEVER recommend Netregistry to anyone. Once they sign you up and have your money their customer service support is extremely bad. I even sent an email to Larry Bloch telling him how dissapointed I was and his response was to send me an extremely condascending and patronising email. Only just yesterday his Web Design Manager (Rachel Deegan) sent me an email saying ... 'I am not going to go over this with you any further, your design was finalised a long time ago and this is no longer open for discussion. Please find yourself a web master for future assistance' .... and ... 'do not have the time or the patience for you' ... and I am still a fee paying customer. My website went live in August 2011, however it still had back end issues which the developers did not fix prior to the site going live. I spent money on getting letter box leaflets done, only to find out that the day the leaflets were distributed someone at Netregistry disabled the 'Buy Now' button, so customers could not purchase anything. Never recieved an apology or any form of compensation from Netregistry. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND GO ELSEWHERE.

I recently had a massive falling out with my web designer - she went AWOL and I was left in the lurch. I'm not a technical person so having a website up, but absolutely no idea how it worked or who to go to for help was terrifying for both me and my business. I went to Netregistry via a recommendation from a friend (Thanks Matt B) and have been all but happy with the service. Now, with a little bit more knowledge about domain names and hosting I can say Netregistry are on the higher end of the scale in terms of cost, but in my opinion the 24/7 support service is easily worth it. I've needed to call to get help with billing, and on each occasion my issue has been resolve on the first phone call. I'm used to waiting on queues for support, with the likes of telstra... so a short wait with Netregistry wasn't really a problem - it's a call centre after all. Good on you Netregistry, keep up the good work.

I got my website designed a few months back and i would just like to say that the man who managed it for me was absolutely superb. Kept me up to date on everything, managed my expectations like a well oiled machine, and produced a stunning website i'm happy to call my own.

Poor customer service, lack of knowledge within their service centre, what more do I have to say. They are expensive and was happy to pay thinking I would get a higher quality of service this did not happen, having a much happy time with current provider Host Gator

I have a complex web program which I couldn't find a hosting provider for - because everywhere I went I had limitations to how much server resource I could use. Every host told me to buy Dedicated and tried to shove expensive products down my throat, but when I emailed Netregistry in the last hope before signing up for VPS, not only did I get a response within a few minutes, I had my website up on their servers by dinner time, and it was up and I was ready to send out my Launch emails. This was about 6 months ago, never had a problem with any slow performance for something that was supposed to only run on Dedicated! Then today I called them because a friend of mine was hosting with DistributeIT (who went down for days), and they had my friend up and running within minutes, AND gave her free hosting until she gets her business back online. Damn impressive. Sorry to hear the others had a crap time - I'm posting my good review to clean their name cause they really pulled through for my friend today.

By far the VERY VERY VERY VERY worst Hosting provider we have ever used. There is no customer service. After 13 emails and 7 days later some responded only to tell me that it would take 4 days. Can't stand them and do not go near their sister company ZIP HOSTING... They should not claim customer service. it's by email and ... well basically there is none.

My website has been down for nearly 24 hours now, no response, nothing. The lack of service and slow web loads and constant outages are worsening, and as someone else mentioned, they never seem to own up to any issues. Finally receiving responses after issues are fixed and being told "you were down for an hour or so" when you know full well it was much much longer, is pathetic and inexcusable. We are unfortunately locked into a contract, however I would certainly not recommend Netregistry to anyone else who wants to run a functioning website or online business.

We hosted with Netregistry for 5 years, regrettably. Netregistry are overpriced and under-perform. We found their support staff (both level1 and level2) are incompetent and very slow to respond to the numerous issued we had with their web hosting over the years. Our website went down many times, due to their "internal web-server restructuring" and "database maintenance" without warning. Recently, since early 2010 till our departure from them in Oct 2010, the performance of their web servers got worse and worse, without them even owning up to the many performance degradations as a result of their over-loaded servers. They kept blaming us and our website applications, when we knew full-well it was not our fault. Since moving to another webhost, we can gladly say our website is performing brilliantly.
